Favorite Easter Memories
- Early morning Sunrise Services, sitting outside, shivering in the early desert air
- Breakfast in the church fellowship hall
- Beautiful dresses sewn by my mother
- Dying eggs –the smell of vinegar, writing on eggs with a white crayon, leaving them in the dye a long time to get vivid colors
- Hiding and seeking the eggs
- The year my dad hid an egg in the rafters of the front porch and it wasn’t found ’til months later
- Easter hymns: “Hear the bells ringing they’re singing that we can be born againnnnnnn…”
- Imagining the wonder of the women who found the empty tomb
- Easter baskets with chocolate and jelly beans and plastic grass
Reasons I Switched from IE to Chrome Last Week
- Got tired of IE taking forever and ever to load
- IE crashed every time I tried to load Facebook Scrabble
- That stupid yellow bar that popped up constantly
- When I asked on FB for advice about how to stop IE from crashing, the overwhelming comment given was to switch to Chrome
- My son has been telling me to switch for years
- When I finally tried it out of frustration with IE, Chrome loaded about 10x faster.
- It imported all my bookmarks and even my favorites bar
- Google is tracking everything about me anyway, so why not make it easier for them

Thoughts On the Current Season of Survivor
- I am abundantly glad Colton is gone.
- Bad people get what is coming to them.
- Which means Alicia will soon get caught by karma too.
- Kim and Chelsea seem to be the only strategy-driven players left.
- Tarzan is as annoying as Coach was the first season he played.
- Christina is either a bigger person than I am, or a cloying yes-man.
- Jeff Probst gets hotter every season.
- It must be much more difficult while in the game to develop a clearer picture of your opponents.
- It’s cute and sadly mistaken how Jonas thinks he can be a leader now.
Board Games I Played Last Night
Things I Miss About My BFF Wendy
- Her laugh – the way she would throw her head back and clap her hands together and laugh with her whole soul
- Her ability to get things done. Now.
- Her willingness to stop whatever she was doing to do something more important for her friends.
- Her enthusiasm for life.
- Her refusal to let the cancer define her as a person.
- Her stubborness. It’s a trait we share.
- Her slightly naughty sense of humor, which probably most of you didn’t get to see.
- Her all encompassing love for her children, all 5 of them.
- Lunch at Chi-chis. Or Bishops. Or Hardees.
- Girls time in DesMoines with all 3 of us BFFs
- The way she never ever ever complained about anything. Not the cancer, not her divorce, not the chemo, not even at the end.
- Her drive and ambition.
- Her cream cheese mints.
- Planning events with her.
- When she would load up all the 8 million kids and take them to her house to make cookies.
- How she always told me the truth. Always. No matter whether I wanted to hear it or not.
